This vibrant townhouse near Hyde Park required joinery that would celebrate its characterful palette while maintaining a sense of refinement. TECO was appointed to deliver bespoke pieces across key areas including the principal bedroom suite, dining rooms, kitchen and banquette seating area.

The brief called for a fusion of classic craftsmanship with contemporary detailing from fluted columns and shaker drawer fronts to wallpaper inlays and concealed pocket doors. Every element was designed to express personality, executed with precision, and fitted seamlessly into the property’s architectural framework.

Seamless integration and elevated finishes

The kitchen was designed with discreet elegance, featuring concealed pocket doors that revealed a marble topped American Black Walnut coffee station when opened. The integration was both functional and luxurious, delivering everyday ease with high design value. In the green dining area, TECO created a banquette with a traditionally made glazed cabinet above, built with contemporary proportions and solid brass butt hinges. These final touches brought cohesion and craft into the heart of the home, tying together colour, form and material in a way that felt bespoke, confident and utterly unique.

Characterful details with layered textures

In the bedroom, wardrobes featured satin brass trim and fabric inlaid door panels, framed with clean mouldings and paired with polished brass hardware. A matching dressing table stood on slender brass legs, complete with a concealed drawer. In the blue dining room, shaker style drawer fronts were finished with fluted columns and Corston handles for a subtly traditional yet striking look. The result was a space that felt both rooted and playful, where joinery acted as a design statement while offering practical function.
